OUR STORY
After many years in the corporate and medical world, managing and teaching, I ended up with a PhD (yes, I'm Dr Ziggy Smith), a nice big salary and whole lot of burnout.
Luckily, I had 4 amazing kids, 7 grandkids and my resilience to fall back on.
Then my degenerative condition, that had been steadily worsening for 40 years, finally took over and left me disabled in 2020. That meant finding a whole new career where I could lie down as I work. A bit odd, but there you go!
That's when I picked up my love of art and turned it into my new career.
Fast forward 3 years, my art developed into illustration and authoring books, and here I am!
With Shiloh, my Assistance Dog, beside me, I design all my own products and bring them to market. Not bad for an ol' disabled duck 🙂
